Back in the early summer of 1989 I happened upon my first Batman comic, issue #602 of Detective Comics, in a small grocery store in Hutchinson, Kansas. As a result my Batman became and will always be the Grant/Breyfogle Batman. The dynamism of the artwork and the depth of the writing solidified the idea of Batman into a living breathing character.

So reading that Norm Breyfogle will be returning to DC to draw Batman Beyond has made my day.
